Pacific Ocean Maritime Training and Services Corp. conducts a Career Orientation Seminar at Bataan National High School, Balanga City.
In partnership with the Department of Education - Schools Division Office of Balanga City, Pacific Ocean Maritime Training and Services Corp. (POMTSC) successfully conducted a Career Orientation at Bataan National High School on March 27, 2025. The event was attended by a total of 53 graduating Senior High School students under the Maritime Strand.
The primary objective of the orientation was to introduce the students to immediate employment opportunities available in the maritime industry. We aimed to equip them with relevant skills and internationally recognized certifications, enabling them to meet industry standards and confidently pursue a career in maritime services.
During the session, we presented our specialized training programs designed to expand career opportunities and address the growing demand for skilled maritime professionals. The students were given insights into the nature of maritime work, the importance of acquiring proper certifications, and the advantages of undergoing formal training. We also highlighted our institution's commitment to enhancing local vocational education by offering accessible and industry-based learning pathways.
The orientation was interactive and well-received by the students. They expressed interest in the various career options discussed, and many showed enthusiasm.
This initiative reflects our continuing partnership with DepEd and our dedication to bridging the gap between education and employment, especially in the maritime sector.
