NEW COURSE: Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
Course Overview
Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) is a semi-automatic or automatic arc welding process that uses a continuously fed tubular wire electrode with a flux core. It is commonly used in construction, shipbuilding, and heavy equipment industries due to its high deposition rates and ability to weld thicker materials. This training will develop a welder’s ability to produce strong, defect-free welds in industrial settings.
Target Group
- Individuals who are preparing for careers in industries such as construction, shipbuilding, and heavy manufacturing.
Duration
- 433 Hours
Certification
Upon successful completion, students will undergo a National Assessment on FCAW NC I and FCAW NC II to receive a certification from the Technical Education And Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Underwater Ship Repair and Maintenance Program
Course Overview
Underwater ship maintenance and repair refers to the process of inspecting, maintaining, and fixing ships while they are submerged in water. This specialized field is essential for ensuring the integrity, safety, and operational efficiency of vessels that navigate oceans, seas, rivers, or other bodies of water.
Target Group
- Aspiring to become ship repair and maintenance technician, professional divers, marine engineers, and maritime maintenance personnel.
Duration
- 1 Year – 2 Semesters
Certification
Upon successful completion, students will receive a certification recognized by maritime authorities and relevant industry bodies such as the International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD).
Underwater Hull Cleaning
Course Overview
Underwater hull cleaning is a specialized process involving the maintenance and cleaning of a ship's hull to remove biofouling, such as algae, barnacles, and other marine growth, from the submerged portion of a vessel's hull.
Target Group
- Aspiring underwater hull cleaning technicians, professional divers, marine engineers, and maritime maintenance personnel.
Duration
- 421 Hours
Certification
Upon successful completion, students will receive a certification recognized by maritime authorities and relevant industry bodies such as the International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD).
Underwater Propeller Polishing
Course Overview
Underwater propeller polishing is a specialized maintenance activity performed to remove marine growth, fouling, and surface roughness from the propellers of marine vessels while they are still in the water.
Target Group
- Aspiring underwater propeller polishing technicians, professional divers, marine engineers, and maritime maintenance personnel.
Duration
- 421 Hours
Certification
Upon successful completion, students will receive a certification recognized by maritime authorities and relevant industry bodies such as the International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD).
Underwater Photography and Videography In-water Survey
Course Overview
Underwater photography and videography in-water surveys capture high-quality images and videos of submerged structures, marine environments, and underwater life which are essential for various applications, including underwater inspections, and media production.
Target Group
- Aspiring underwater photographers and videographers, marine biologists, environmental scientists, divers, and media professionals.
Duration
- 281 Hours
Certification
